Pick locks at 7:10PM ET
Luka Doncic is averaging 36 points and the Lakers are 4-1, so I get why the board likes them. But Golden State has won two straight on the road, it’s at home, and our number has this close to even. Three and a half is a lot in a coin flip. Dubs.
The Matchup
- The Lakers’ start. Los Angeles is 4-1, and the only loss was 136-129 at home to Portland. The Lakers beat Golden State 127-105 on Oct. 21 and won 103-87 at the Clippers on Wednesday without Doncic, who sat that one out. He’s averaging 36.0 points in four games, and Austin Reaves 24.4.
- Golden State’s start. The Warriors lost their first three, then won 134-114 in Denver and 119-114 in Minnesota on Wednesday. Stephen Curry scored 44 in Minnesota and is averaging 28.8.
- Yaxel Lendeborg is producing. He’s averaging 22.6 points and 9.2 rebounds.
- Rest. Both teams played Wednesday and had Thursday off.
- Tip-off. 10:00 PM ET at Chase Center, on Prime Video.
Injuries
Golden State is without Jimmy Butler III (knee) and Moses Moody (knee), and Kristaps Porzingis is away from the team. The Lakers are without Cameron Carr (oblique) and Adou Thiero (knee), and Ziaire Williams (foot) is questionable.
The Number
Last season’s scoring margins, at half weight this early, plus home court make Golden State about a half-point favorite. The board has the Lakers by two and a half to three and a half. That’s one of our bigger gaps on the slate, and it leans on last season, so it stays a lean.
The honest case against: Doncic scored 52 and 41 in his last two games, and the Lakers won the first meeting by 22. It’s a Game Pick, a lean, and like every pick we post, it lands on the receipts page win or lose.
Bottom Line
Take the Warriors plus three and a half at -115 at Fanatics. Lean. Curry at home, getting more than a field goal in a game we see as even. Strength in numbers.

Same-Game Parlay
One read in two legs. Golden State’s points come from Curry and Lendeborg, and Draymond Green runs the offense without looking for his own shot. If the Warriors keep it close, it’s because the scorers scored, not Green. Every leg needs the same game, so this is one position, not two bets.
