Two teams with three wins between them on Sunday night. Philadelphia has lost four straight and is on its backup quarterback. Washington has Jayden Daniels back but just lost Terry McLaurin. Our numbers can’t see either of those changes, so on this one we go with the board. Give me Washington.

The Matchup

  • Philadelphia’s quarterback. Tanner McKee has started the last two games in place of Jalen Hurts. He went 26 of 45 for 215 yards against Carolina and 23 of 35 for 211 against Dallas, and the Eagles lost both.
  • Philadelphia is 2-5. The Eagles have lost four straight: 24-20 to the Rams, 19-17 at Jacksonville, 25-14 to Carolina and 38-21 to Dallas on Monday night. They score 18.1 points a game and run for 87.7 yards a game.
  • Washington’s quarterback. Daniels missed Weeks 3 and 4, then came back for the last two games before the bye. He threw for 300 yards and two touchdowns in the 23-17 loss at San Francisco.
  • Washington lost its top receiver. McLaurin had surgery Friday to repair a torn patellar tendon in his left knee. Tackle Laremy Tunsil is on injured reserve, and defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw is out.
  • Philadelphia’s injury report is long. Receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring) missed Friday’s practice and is questionable. Saquon Barkley (hamstring, back) practiced Friday and is questionable. Linebackers Nolan Smith Jr., Jihaad Campbell and Jonathan Greenard and corner Michael Carter II are questionable too.
  • They’ve met once. Philadelphia won 24-22 at home in Week 1, with Hurts and Daniels both playing.
  • Weather and kickoff. Mostly cloudy, 53 degrees, wind 2 mph (NWS hourly, checked Friday). 8:20 PM ET Sunday at Northwest Stadium, on NBC.

The Number

On season point differential these two are dead even: Philadelphia is minus 48 through seven games, Washington is minus 40 through six. Add home field and we’d get Washington by under two. The line is six.

We don’t trust our number here. Five of Philadelphia’s seven games came with Hurts at quarterback, and Washington’s games include two without Daniels. When the quarterback picture shifts like that, we go with the board, and the board says Washington by six. There’s no gap on this card because the pick comes from the market, not from us.

The honest case against: Washington just lost its best receiver and has one win all year at 1-4-1. Six points is a lot for a team that converts 30.9% on third down. It’s a Game Pick, a lean, and like every pick we post, it lands on the receipts page win or lose.

In-Game Bets

  • If Barkley and DeVonta Smith are both inactive. That’s the Eagles without their two best skill players. It backs up the read; don’t add to it.
  • If Philadelphia leads at halftime. Don’t bail on Washington. McKee hasn’t put together four good quarters yet.
  • If Daniels gets hurt. Our pick depends on him. There’s nothing to add live.

Bottom Line

Take Washington minus six at -112 at BetMGM. Lean. Daniels at home against a backup quarterback on a four-game skid. We’re going with the board, and the board likes Washington.

Same-Game Parlay

Two legs, one read. With McLaurin gone, Washington’s best path is the run game, which averages 125 yards a game. If the Commanders win by running it, Daniels doesn’t need a big passing night. Both legs need the same game script, so this is one position, not two bets.

Lines as of Friday afternoon; confirm them before you build the ticket. This parlay is a Game Pick. Player props not available in all states.
