The write-up

1-1 on the featured picks, 3-1 on everything we priced. Two games, and the one I felt best about is the one that lost.

Colorado at Georgia Tech Under 51.5 at -108. Won. Fourteen to thirteen, so it cleared by twenty-four and a half points. Two quarterbacks making their first college start managed one touchdown between them after halftime, which is the entire reason that number was the play rather than a side.

Colorado plus six and a half at -105. Won. It never needed the points. The Buffaloes won the game outright on the road.

Georgia Tech moneyline at -235. Not graded. The article listed it in the strip and then said in its own copy that I was not on either side. The template filled it in. Georgia Tech lost, so grading it would have put a loss in our record for a bet we told you not to make, and it is out. Removing it improves the number, which is why I am saying so rather than letting you notice a better record than the one I reported this morning. The strip will not carry a bet the writing argues against again.

UAB at Illinois Illinois minus twenty-seven and a half at -108. Lost. Forty-two to twenty-three, so it missed by eight and a half. Illinois was never in trouble and never needed a fourth touchdown, which is exactly the shape of comfortable win that beats a number that big.

Over 54.5 at -110. Won. Sixty-five points in the same game whose side we got wrong.

What the record says The featured picks are what we stake. They went 1-1, down about two dollars on a twenty-five dollar unit. The strip plays are logged at zero stake, so they show on the receipts page without moving the units. Every priced play we actually advised is 3-1. Both numbers are true and you should have both.

Second week running that the pick I led with and another play in the same game have split, with the other one on the right side. Twice is not a pattern, but I am writing it down.
