College Football Week 5 Picks: Every Game, Every Bet, October 3, 2026

SlateLines (Tally LLC) earns a commission when you sign up through our links. That never affects our analysis.

54 college games on Saturday, and a side on every one of them. Four get a full write-up. The method is the same in every row: the current college ratings, updated after Week 4, two and a half points for the home team, and the gap between that projection and the number on the board. A gap of two points or more is a disagreement. Under two is a lean. Over four is a warning, because a gap that big usually means the ratings are missing something the market already knows. No totals, no props.

Featured Picks

Ohio State at Iowa

The ratings make this Ohio State by 11.5 and the board asks fourteen and a half. Iowa is allowing eight points a game, the fewest in the country, and the line hasn’t come our way, so it’s small. Light play. Take Iowa +14.5 at Kicked off Full breakdown →

Florida at Missouri

The ratings make this Florida by 2.3 and the board asks five and a half. The gap is on Missouri, but the line hasn’t moved toward the Tigers and both of their starting defensive ends are questionable. Lean, no stake. Take Missouri +5.5 at Kicked off Full breakdown →

Virginia at Florida State

The ratings make this Virginia by 6.2 and the board asks two and a half. Virginia has one of the best pass defenses in the country and Florida State has one of the worst, and the line has drifted our way. It’s the best spot on the card. Half play. Take Virginia −2.5 at Kicked off Full breakdown →

Arkansas at Texas A&M

The ratings make this Texas A&M by 11.7 and the board asks fourteen. A&M scored six points at LSU last week, and the line has cooled half a point. Light play, fourteen or better only. Take Arkansas +14 at Kicked off Full breakdown →

Bottom Line

Three staked plays on Saturday, all in the write-ups. Virginia −2.5 is a half play, and Iowa +14.5 and Arkansas +14 are light plays. Missouri is a lean with no stake, and so was Friday night’s Penn State pick. Every other row on this board is a tracked pick with no stake on it, and every one gets graded on the receipts page either way. If I had to pick one, it’s Virginia.
