The Niners are 5-0 and the Faithful are loud, but seven and a half is a lot. Jayden Daniels is back, and our number has San Francisco by about five. I’ll take the points with Washington. HTTC.
The Matchup
- San Francisco is perfect. The 49ers beat the Rams 27-7, Miami 35-13, Arizona 36-30, Denver 24-14 and Seattle 32-29. Brock Purdy has 13 touchdowns.
- Washington has been scrambling at quarterback. Jayden Daniels has played in three games, and three other quarterbacks have taken snaps. The Commanders are 1-3-1 after a 27-27 tie with the Giants.
- Daniels runs. He ran for 69 and 103 yards in his last two games. Deebo Samuel Sr. is out for San Francisco, and Nick Bosa is questionable.
- Weather and kickoff. Mostly sunny, 63 degrees, wind 13 mph WNW (NWS hourly, checked Friday 3:00 AM ET). Under our 15 mph line. 8:15 PM ET Monday at Levi’s Stadium, on ESPN and ABC.
The Number
Last season’s points scored and allowed were worth about 6.2 wins for Washington and 10.1 for San Francisco. One point of spread for every win, plus a point and a half for the home team, makes this San Francisco by about five and a half. The board has San Francisco by seven and a half. That’s 2.1 points of daylight on Washington.
The honest case against: the Niners have won every game and the Commanders’ defense allows 255 net passing yards a game, fourth most. But two of San Francisco’s wins came by six points or fewer. It’s a Featured pick, still a lean like every NFL side we post, and it lands on the receipts page win or lose.
In-Game Bets
- If Daniels is running well early. Leave it.
- If SF leads by 14 at halftime. Hold.
- If Bosa is out. Good for the pick.
Bottom Line
Take the Commanders plus seven and a half at . Lean. Daniels back under center and a lot of points on Monday night. Commanders.
Same-Game Parlay
One read in three legs. If Washington covers, Daniels is making plays with his feet, and San Francisco’s offense goes through the receivers rather than McCaffrey catching passes. Every leg needs the same game, so this is one position, not three bets.
The angleDaniels keeps Washington in it with his legs, and McCaffrey isn't the receiver he used to be.
